Here is a slide show from Festa Italiana.
Cuyahoga Falls-- The seventh annual Festa Italiana was met with much success the weekend of July 17 through the 19. Weather was good for the first two days, but rain hit the festival Sunday, something that chairman Rick Sabo said was the only negative part of the festival.
"The weather is literally the only thing I would change," Sabo said. "It was really hot and humid the first couple days but I can't complain. We had a lot of people there and had a lot of vendors. It was definitely a success.
Sabo said he is not sure exactly how much money was raised for the event because everything is still being added up.
"You always want the best to happen and it was a great festival that was put on thanks to all the hard work by everybody," Sabo said. "The music was fantastic and I am just really happy with how everything went."
Fabio from Italy, Pino Marelli and Julie Crookston were just some of the musical performers during the festival. Foods that were on display included Italian pastries and pastas, stromboli, sausage sandwiches and cannolis.
Sabo said the community will meet in August to discuss the next festival, as Festa Italiana looks like it will continue to be a part of the Falls community.
