Recently, the Cuyahoga Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation awarded six $1,000 scholarships to Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake resident graduating seniors. Resident students may attend any of the public and private schools in the area.

Scholarship winners are: Jacob Davis, a Cuyahoga Falls High School graduate attending Baldwin Wallace University; Daniel Kiley, a Woodridge High School graduate attending Xavier University; Ashura Powell, a Walsh Jesuit High School graduate attending John Carroll University; Erika Shane, a Cuyahoga Falls High School graduate attending The Ohio State University Honors College; Jessica Showalter, a Woodridge High School graduate attending John Carroll University; and Andrew Thomas, a Cuyahoga Falls High School graduate attending The Ohio State University.

Once completed applications were submitted, the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Committee, made up of our Chamber Member business leaders, reviewed them and called the top applicants back to the Chamber of Commerce for a formal interview before the committee.

Decisions were based on scholastic achievements and financial need.

The purpose of the Cuyahoga Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation is to encourage higher education and professional development by means of Chamber Scholarships.
