Mobile Meals seeks volunteers this winter

Those looking for a great way to stay active this winter may consider volunteering with Mobile Meals Inc.

During the winter months, many volunteers head for warmer climates, leaving nearly a 10 percent gap in the organization's delivery force. For its more rural routes, a vehicle with four-wheel drive capability is sometimes needed.

Individuals may give time on a regular basis, or be an "on call" volunteer for severe road conditions.

Meals are delivered Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at several locations throughout Summit and Portage counties. Individuals may volunteer as much or as little as their schedule permits.

For more information about this and other volunteer opportunities, contact Susan Wohlford, community resources associate, at 330- 376-7717 or 1-800-TLC-MEAL.
