Akron " Tallmadge resident Glenn Stanley, 53, was sentenced to four years in prison for a third-degree felony charge of driving under the influence and three years for having five or more DUI convictions within 20 years.

A Summit County jury convicted Stanley June 27 for what the prosecutor's office says is his sixth DUI conviction " his fifth within the last 20 years.

According to Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh, the sentences will run consecutively.

In addition, Judge Patricia Cosgrove ordered a 10-year suspension of Stanley's driver's license and five years of post-release control.

According to the prosecutor, in November 2006, a concerned citizen called Macedonia Police regarding a driver weaving in his lane on I-271. Police pulled the car over and the driver, Stanley, subsequently failed three sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test, according to the prosecutor.
