Munroe Falls - Resident Ron Budzowski, who recently served as the city's Charter Review Commission chairperson, has taken out petitions from the Summit County Board of Elections to run for mayor.
According to the Board of Elections, Budzowski and resident Dennis Byrne are the only people who have taken out petitions for the November race. Mayor Frank Larson, whose first four-year term is up this December, has not said whether he plans to seek another term.
Residents must obtain 50 signatures and submit them to the Board of Elections to appear on the ballot, according to the Board of Elections. The deadline to submit complete petitions to the Board is Aug. 23.
