Stow " Stow-Munroe Falls Board of Education President John Pribonic has thrown his hat in the ring for the Stow City Council Ward 3 race.
According to the Summit County Board of Elections Office, Pribonic has obtained the petitions necessary for him to appear on the Sept. 11 City Council primary election ballot. Ward 3 is located in the middle of the city, between Stow Road, Fishcreek Road and Graham Road.
While he is not on the ballot yet, Ward 3 Councilmember John Wysmierski said he still plans to seek another term. According to the Board of Elections office, Wysmierski has obtained petitions to appear on the ballot.
Pribonic, whose second four-year term on the School Board is not up until December 2009, said he must resign if he is elected to Stow City Council.
