Summer is not here yet, but officials in the Woodridge Local School District are looking ahead to the fall and the fourth annual Woodridge Community Days on Sept. 28 and 29The event will kick off Sept. 28 with the Dogs and Chips night before the Mogadore football game. The free meal will be at the high school.On Sept. 29, the community is invited to an open house at Woodridge Middle School that includes a pancake breakfast in the morning and activities for the whole family.The event takes place rain or shine.Each year, community organizations set up tables and displays at the event and share information about the group. Last year, Community Days had tables for PTO, Woodridge Recreation, the Akron Humane Society, Advocare, Heartland Kennels, Zahand's Martial Arts, Market Day and the Cuyahoga Falls police and safety forces. Fun Services provided an inflatable and a dunk tank.Student groups were also represented including musical performances by the band and choir member. In addition, two local authors -- Charmaine Ramsey and Vicky Selvaggio, were available to sign their books and talk with visitors.This year, the district is looking for additional community organizations to participate on Sept. 29.
