Stow -- Police arrested a 43-year-old Cleveland man and charged him with theft, possession of criminal tools, possession of drug abuse instruments and driving under suspension following a shoplifting incident in a Graham Road business May 17.According to the report, a business employee told police he saw the man take a $40 tape measure and a $200 wrench without paying for them. The employee told police the man was driving a blue Ford Escort, according to the reportPolice reported finding the man in the vehicle down the street from the business shortly after he fled, and officers found the man to be in possession of a syringe and to be driving under suspension. The man was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments after officers found the syringe in the vehicle, according to the report.The man is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.Possession of weapons under medical disabilityMay 19. Traffic stop results in multiple charges: Police arrested a 37-year-old Cleveland man and charged him with possession of weapons while medically disabled, driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia, drug abuse and changing lanes in an unsafe manner following a traffic stop on Graham Road at 10:17 p.m. According to the report, officers found suspected drugs and suspected drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. Police reported the man was driving under suspension, and he possessed a hand gun.He is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.Domestic violenceMay 20. Man accused of punching woman: A 44-year-old man living in the northeast quadrant of the city was arrested and charged with domestic violence following an incident in his home.According to the report, the man allegedly punched a 16-year-old female with whom he lives. Police reported she was not treated for injuries by emergency medical services.The man is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.TheftMay 18. Police investigate report: A Temple Terrace man told police he paid someone he knows for tree services without completing the work. The amount of money for the services was not reported.Police are investigating.May 16. Pills stolen: A Bent Tree Lane man told police someone stole 61 pain pills from his home sometime between May 13 and 15. There was no evidence of forced entry into the residence.The total value of the pills is $6, according to the report.Possession of air gunMay 15. 19-year-old arrested: Police arrested a 19-year-old Stow male and charged him with possession of an air gun after a resident saw the male walking on Lynnwood Drive at 10:10 p.m. with the weapon.Police reported officers located the male on the street, and he was arrested.The male is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.Obstructing official businessMay 15. Woman accused of refusing to leave residence: Police arrested a 39-year-old Akron woman and charged her with obstructing official business, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespassing after a Verner Road man said the woman refused to leave his home.According to the report, the woman provided false information to avoid arrest, and officers found suspected drug paraphernalia on the woman. She is scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court.Criminal damagingMay 16. Park picnic table damaged: A city of Stow employee told police he observed carving on a Darrow Road park picnic table between March 1 and May 16. According to the report, the estimated damage to the table was $300.Criminal mischiefMay 16.
