City Council to discuss utility measure June 4
The administration and Falls City Council will discuss the substitute legislation for dealing with delinquent utilities on June 4 at 6:15 p.m. in Council Chambers in the Natatorium. Two public forums took place on this subject and many ideas have been incorporated into the substitute legislation, according to city officials. The legislation may be reviewed on the city's Web site at www.cityofcf.com. A link will be available on the Home Page under "News."
Chart Road closure update
The improvements on Chart Road between State Road and Keyser Parkway are continuing. The roadway will be reduced to one-way traffic for eastbound local motorists only. Local motorists are defined as residents residing on Chart Road within the construction limits. Westbound traffic will be prohibited and need to follow the posted detour of State Road, Steels Corners Road and Northampton Road. Emergency personnel have been notified. Detours signs have been posted.
Sanitation schedule changed
Falls trash collection crews will not work May 28 due to the Memorial Day holiday. All collections will be delayed one day. Refuse and recycle crews will work Tuesday through Saturday.
Legislative breakfast set for June 1
The Catholic Commission of Summit County and Call to Renewal of Summit County will sponsor a legislative breakfast with the members of the county delegation to the Ohio General Assembly June 1. The public is invited at 7:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Akron, 292 E. Market St. in Akron.
