A 38-year-old Alliance man was cited for failure to control in a May 13 accident that sent him and his passenger to the hospital. According to the accident report, the man was driving his motorcycle north on 21st Street approaching Sackett Avenue at 6:27 p.m. when he lost control of the motorcycle and skidded out of control. The motorcycle then rolled over onto its side and slid through the intersection before striking the curb on the north side of Sackett Avenue. The man and his passenger, a 16-year-old Cuyahoga Falls girl, reported non-incapacitating injuries. The vehicle sustained disabling damage.AccidentsMay 10 -- Lane change leads to accident: A 68-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman was cited for improper lane change in a two-car accident that sent her to the hospital. According to the accident report, the woman was traveling west on Portage Trail at 1:22 p.m. when she attempted to change lanes. As she was doing so, the car in the lane she was turning into stopped to turn left onto Schiller Avenue. According to the police report, the woman's brakes failed and she rear-ended the other car, driven by a 61-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man. The woman was taken to Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital for possible injuries. Both cars sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.May 14 -- No injuries in bus / car accident: No injuries were reported and no one was cited in a morning accident that involved a Woodridge District School bus. According to the accident report, a car driven by a 32-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was stopped in the outside lane on north State Road at the intersection with West Steels Corners Road. The bus approached the intersection in the inside turn lane when the two vehicles' mirrors hit. The bus contained seven 6 to 8-year-old students. Police said they are investigating and have leads.May 14 -- Money, audio equipment missing: A Cuyahoga Falls man reported someone forced open the locked front door of his Bailey Road home and stole money and audio equipment between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Total loss is estimated at $1,650. Police said they are investigating.Disruption of schoolMay 11 -- Argument escalates, leads to arrest: A 15-year-old Cuyahoga Falls boy was arrested and charged with disruption of class, a first-degree misdemeanor, after a principal at Cuyahoga Falls High School reported the boy got into an argument at 2:50 p.m. with another student during class and was screaming profanities and threats at the other student. The boy was removed from the class.Felonious assaultMay 12 -- Man injured in confrontation: A Cuyahoga Falls man reported two white men he did not know jumped out of a maroon Oldsmobile Delta 88 and confronted the man while he was walking between 2:10 and 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bailey and Northmoreland roads. The man said one of his alleged attackers cut his arm with a knife. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police reported no leads or suspects.AssaultMay 11 -- Woman treated for possible broken nose: A 24-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman reported a student at Woodridge Middle School punched her in the nose following a verbal altercation at the school between 10:45 and 10:50 a.m. The woman was treated by EMS for a possible broken nose and transported to an area hospital.May 12 -- Woman reports assault: A Cuyahoga Falls woman reported a man she knows assaulted her while she was in a Winter Parkway parking lot at 9:40 a.m. The woman said the man hit her, pulled her hair and pulled her out of her car. The woman refused medical treatment.
