by Andrea ColeAssociate EditorStow -- Although the prom is more than three months away, parents of Stow-Munroe Falls High School seniors already are preparing for the After Prom event."We started meeting last year," said After Prom committee member Pam Racketa. "We have different parents at the meetings, but usually there are around 25 to 30 parents. I think we'll have more as we get closer to prom."She said parents of high school seniors organize the free event, which is hosted at the high school for all Stow-Munroe Falls High School seniors beginning at midnight, after the dance. The prom is scheduled for May 19 at 9 p.m. in St. Joseph's Party Center."We have inflatable games, a casino area, food, a disc jockey and a large television where students can play video games," she said. "It will be a lot of fun for the students."The After Prom committee is scheduled to meet Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. in the library of Stow-Munroe Falls High School, located at 3227 E. Graham Road in Stow."We are still working on all of the details for the event," said Racketa. "We need to choose a theme. Before Christmas, we agreed to come up with different ideas."She said the committee also is hosting various fundraisers to earn money for the event.An "All You Can Eat Wing Extravaganza" is scheduled for Feb. 24 at Wing Warehouse Sports Bar and Grill, 4050 Fishcreek Road in Stow. For $25, individuals will receive an unlimited number of wings and two beverages. Regular menu items also will be available with door prizes and a raffle for a basket.Individuals can purchase one raffle ticket for $1, or six tickets for $5.For more information about the committee, call Racketa at 330-678-0637.She said the committee also is asking businesses to support the event by donating an item.
