by Ellin WalshReporterCuyahoga Falls -- Two structure fires kept Cuyahoga Falls firefighters busy but caused no injuries Jan. 17. Firefighters responded to a reported fire at 2527 25th St. at 2:38 p.m. A neighbor reportedly heard a popping sound, followed by a thud and summoned help. The owners were not at home at the time, firefighters say."The fire was confined to a bathroom area with smoke damage throughout," according to a press release issued Thursday by Capt. George Sewald of the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department. Two pets were rescued. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no damage estimate was available at press time.Sixteen firefighters were dispatched to 340 Pleasant Meadow Blvd. at 9:18 p.m. to battle a reported stove fire. "A mother, two children and a guest escaped unharmed" from the blaze, which was extinguished within 10 minutes, the release states. Smoke damage was evident.
