She was nominated by the League of Women Voters of Northern Portage County."We wish to thank the Aurora PTO under the leadership of Connie for the delicious refreshments and seasonal decorations at our recent candidates and issues night at Harmon School," wrote Patricia Fitzgerald, treasurer of the League."Connie was very generous with her time and wonderful hospitality."Persons who do good deeds for individuals, groups or the community as whole are rewarded with roses. Nominators should jot down a few sentences describing the kind act, and include their names and the addresses of the recipients.Up to three people can be named in one nomination and three roses will be sent. Any more than that is considered a joint nomination and only one rose will be delivered.
