Munroe Falls Historical Society is scheduled to host a slide show program Feb. 5 featuring Silver Lake Park.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Munroe Falls City Hall, 43 Munroe Falls Ave.
The Silver Lake slide show was made in 1975, and is narrated by Duncan Wolcott. The 35-acre recreational park surrounding Silver Lake was started by Ralph H. Lodge of Munroe Falls in the late 1870s.
The park closed at the onset of World War I.

A quilt exhibit in the Munroe Falls Historical Museum is scheduled to begin Feb. 18.
The show will consist of a display of crazy quilts, which were popular from 1880 through 1920.
Kent resident Grace Rymer, who makes and embroiders present-day crazy quilts, will be at the museum Feb. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Also on display will be an 1883 signature crazy quilt from the Munroe Falls museum collection.
The quilt was donated by the Wilbur Gaylord family, and the embroidered initials on it are attributed to be those of descendants of the pioneers of Munroe Falls.
The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will continue through June 17. The Munroe Falls Historical Museum is located at 83 Munroe Falls Ave.
