Families sought to help orphaned childrenKidsave International is seeking families interested in helping the lives of orphaned children this summer. Through a program called "Summer Miracles," Kidsave officials say orphaned children from Colombia, ages 6 through 16, will travel to the United States, live with host families for six weeks and attend day camp. This program increases the awareness of the plight of orphaned children, and gives these children the chance to meet families who can change their lives, officials say. Hosting opportunities are available for those who are interested in adopting or advocating for these children. Families are encouraged to attend an informational meeting Jan 27 at 3:30 p.m. at the Fairlawn library. For more information, call Jorge or Teresa Benavides 330-697-6757.
