In keeping with the Cuyahoga Falls school district’s Black Tiger Pride, tigers will be running a river race this year, instead of the ducks of years past.

Cuyahoga Falls High School PTSO is sponsoring the Black Tiger River Run and Food Fest on Aug. 17 beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Shady Bend Shelter at Water Works Park. The tigers will race at 2 p.m.

First prize is $300 and second prize is $200 plus many more prizes. Winners do not need to be present to win.

There will be games and prizes, fun activities for the kids, plus local food vendors and restaurants selling a variety of foods.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors at CFHS. The event is free to attend. Tigers are available to sponsor for $5 each or a "Pride Pack" which is 5 tigers for $20. Email Jenfischer@yahoo.com for pre-sale tigers or call 330-937-7560 and leave a message. Tigers will be available to sponsor at the event but only 1,100 tigers will be lining up for the race, so don’t miss your chance at the many prizes.
