TWINSBURG — Nearly 500 more sets of twins and multiples came "Home for the Holidays" at this year's Twins Days Festival this past weekend.
According to an unofficial count, there were 2,411 sets of twins and multiples who registered for the event, which is the largest annual gathering of twins and multiples in the world, said Sandy Miller, who is on the board for Twins Days.
"It was a beautiful weekend," Miller said. "The weather was great, the people were awesome."
The three-day event has seen more than 77,000 sets of twins and multiples attend over its 43 years, according to information from the Twins Days website. The festival includes the Double Take parade, a volleyball tournament, a hot dog cookout, contests, research tables and more.
Next year's Twins Days Festival is Aug. 7 through 9.
