On behalf of the

scholarship committee and the Miktarian family, we are so thankful to everyone who participated in the Officer Joshua Miktarian Poker Run Aug. 24. This year's fifth-annual event has been the best one yet, and it is because of the people in the community who continue to support this memorial scholarship.

We are very proud to be able to help graduating seniors from Twinsburg and Tallmadge schools every year who want to pursue a college career in a law-related field.

On a personal note, I want to say thank you to the community for not forgetting Josh and his sacrifice. Even after five years, Josh's memory is still alive and I cannot say how much that means to me as a former police officer and his wife.

I am proud to raise my daughter in Tallmadge, Josh's hometown, and proud that she is a part of the Twinsburg community as well.

Again, thank you so much.

Holly Miktarian,
