The Western Reserve Academy girls soccer team certainly had its share of difficulties during the fall season.
They had no such issues Thursday. In fact, the Pioneers closed their season with, perhaps, their best effort of the season.
Host Reserve finished 3-10-1 in 2018 after cruising to a 6-0 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas Thursday in Louisville.
WRA had a commanding 29-1 advantage in to total shots and a 4-1 edge in corner kicks. The Pioneers led 4-0 at halftime.
Catherine Brannon scored twice and Audrey Rhea, Nora Woods, Emily Smithberger and Jimena Oliva found the nets once apiece. Olivia Hrivnak was the Pioneers’ leading playmaker with three assists and Smithberger and Megan Hovan each contributed one assist.
