The Aurora volleyball team was mostly likely a decided underdog on the road.

The Greenmen didn’t pull off the upset, but they put up quite a fight against an opponent that is one of the stronger Division I teams in the area.

Aurora lost to Archbishop Hoban 26-24, 25-22, 26-24 in Akron. The Greenmen enter the postseason with an 11-11 record.

The Knights reached the Stow-Munroe Falls district title match last year.

Morgan Copley had nine kills and Kinze McWhorter finished with four blocks for Aurora. Maggie Bradley had 12 assists and two aces and Maria Parks added nine digs for the Greenmen.

Brooke Fishback also had 12 assists for Aurora.

"Unfortunately, we weren't able to end the regular season with a victory," Greenmen head coach Tyler Price said. "We fought hard and had leads in every set, but couldn't figure a way to pull the victory out.

"After a tough emotional loss on Tuesday (five sets against Copley at home) and a tough loss (Thursday), we will take the next couple of days off and refocus for playoffs."
