Once upon a time, Hathaway Brown was a thorn in the Hudson field hockey team’s side.

There were a number of times when the Blazers ended the Explorers’ season in postseason play.

These days, the roles have been reversed as Hudson has figured out the Hathaway Brown dilemma.

Things got a little tense Thursday, but the Explorers continued their mastery over their former nemesis.

Hudson improved to 10-2 overall and 8-0 in the Northeast Ohio Field Hockey League after posting a 1-0 victory over the Blazers in Shaker Heights.

Reese Stiller scored the lone goal with 14 minutes, 16 seconds remaining in the first half. The Explorers took 24 shots and had a 17-0 advantage in penalty corners.
