The Hudson boys soccer team needs help if it wants to get a piece of the Suburban League National Conference title.

But the Explorers appear to be playing their best at the right time.

Host Hudson improved to 6-5-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the National Conference after earning a 2-0 victory over Twinsburg Tuesday at Hudson Memorial Stadium.

The Explorers, who started 1-4, scored both goals in the final seven-plus minutes.

Trey Kaminski got Hudson on the board when he buried a penalty kick into the lower left corner of the net with 7:32 left.

With 3:32 showing on the clock, Caleb Junko scored his first career goal off an assist from Aroon Tcholakov, who took a free kick.

The Explorers had a 6-2 edge in shots on goal and had an 18-2 in total shots. Hudson had a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.
