If a volleyball match reaches a fifth set, anything can happen.

Unfortunately for Western Reserve Academy, it fell just short of getting there.

The Pioneers dropped to 3-8 after losing to Cornerstone Christian Academy 25-17, 22-25, 25-14, 25-23 Monday in Willoughby .

Allison Weinzierl had five kills and Dria Smith-Lash finished with three blocks for Reserve. Natalie Ham added 10 digs.

It has been struggle for WRA thus far. However, good news is on the way.

The Pioneers have four days to regroup and they’re finally getting healthy.

"We’re looking for some wins," Reserve head coach Sherry Chylsta said. "Now that the injured girls are back, we will reshuffle the deck and come back stronger with a new starting lineup. Looking forward to the results."
