The Aurora girls cross country team finished second with 84 points in the 11-team Division I race at the Pat Ritchie Invitational Saturday at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls.

Chardon easily won the competition with 33 points and Strongsville took third with 112 points.

Chardon took the top three spots. Denalie Selent placed first out of 90 runners with a time of 20 minutes, 31 seconds.

Junior Karsen Zabell led the Greenmen with a fourth-place clocking of 20:54.

Three other Aurora runners finished in the top 20.

They are sophomore Mikayla Jones (13th, 21:45), senior Katy Fellenstein (15th, 21:53) and freshman Morgan Schmitt (18th, 22:05).

Rounding out the top five for the Greenmen was freshman Stephanie Lubin (34th, 22:56).
