If the Aurora boys cross country team wants at least a piece of the Suburban League American Conference title, it will have some work to do.
The Greenmen finished third with a 4-2 record at the Suburban League Super Duals Saturday at Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton.
Highland won the competition with a 6-0 mark and Copley took second with a 5-1 record.
Aurora defeated Tallmadge (23-32), Revere (23-37), Barberton (15-50) and Kent Roosevelt (15-48).
The Greenmen lost to Copley (27-30) and Highland (19-40).
Adam Beucler, who led Hudson to the National Conference title, placed first out of 133 runners with a time of 16 minutes, 16 seconds.
Freshman Matthew Singleton led Aurora with an eighth-place clocking of 17:07. No other Greenman runner placed in the top 35.
Rounding out the top five for Aurora were senior Robert Taylor (38th, 18:02), sophomore Noah Harrison (41st, 18:09), freshman Andrew Ploskunak (43rd, 18:15) and senior Dominic Felice (69th, 18:52).
Sophomore Michael Stoycos led the Greenmen in the open race with a ninth-place time of 19:10.
