The Aurora volleyball team picked up its first conference win of the season Thursday.

The host Greenmen cruised to a 25-21, 25-17, 25-23 victory over host Kent Roosevelt. With the win, Aurora improved to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in the Suburban League American Conference.

Morgan Copley had a stellar match for Aurora. She led the team with 13 kills, eight digs and five aces. Kinze McWhorter added three blocks and Brooke Fishback contributed 19 assists.

"It feels nice to be back in the win column," Greenmen head coach Tyler Price said. "We made some changes and they turned out to work pretty well.

"We had an injury which forced players to step up in different spots. Luckily, we have the weekend to practice hard and get healthy."
