The Hudson girls soccer team has high hopes of achieving success this fall.

Unfortunately for the Lady Explorers, they got off to a rough start against a perennial state powerhouse.

Hudson lost to host Medina 5-0 Friday evening. The Lady Bees scored all of their goals in the second half.

Despite the lopsided outcome, Lady Explorers head coach Chris Gentille was pleased with the play of his goalkeeper.

"Lily Morgan was outstanding, making six or seven big-time saves to keep us in the game as long as she could," he said.
