The Cuyahoga Falls girls golf team placed eighth with a score of 569 at the eight-team Suburban League National Conference preseason tournament championship Wednesday at Barberton Brookside Country Club in Norton.

Hudson won the competition with a score of 349 to edge Stow-Munroe Falls (350). North Royalton, the defending National Conference champion, shot a 368.

Barberton’s Alea Griffith had the best overall score with a 70. Hudson’s Jenn David earned medalist honors in the National Conference with a 72.

Brooke Waffen led the Lady Black Tigers with a score of 111. Also contributing for Falls were Faith Kay (150), Kayla Stewart (153) and Alayna Metheny (155).
