They didn’t win, but it was a stellar performance for the Lady Greenmen on the links.
The Aurora girls golf team finished third with a score of 366 at the six-team Suburban League American Conference Tournament Wednesday at Barberton Brookside Country Club in Norton.
Theodore Roosevelt won the competition with a score of 331 and Copley (344) was the runner-up.
"I’m very proud of the girls," Lady Greenmen head coach Noah Goodman said. "Four girls shot personal bests."
Barberton’s Alea Griffith was the overall and American Conference champion with a 70.
Julia McGarry led Aurora with a score of 87. Teammate Olivia Traci added an 88, which included an eagle on No. 16. Traci made her shot from 115 yards away.
Also contributing to the Lady Greenmen’s team score were Anjali Mishra (89) and Grace Caffoe (102).
