The Hudson girls track and field team finished in a tie for 53rd place with two points at the Division I state meet, which concluded Saturday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus.

Gahanna Lincoln won the 64-team competition with 51 points and Twinsburg and Lancaster tied for second with 31 points.

Senior Emily Akin scored both of the Lady Explorers’ points with a seventh-place time of 2:11.88. Also competing for Hudson was sophomore Molly Stecker, who finished in a tie for ninth with a leap of 5 feet, 4 inches in the high jump.
