The Hudson boys volleyball team’s two-match winning streak came to an end Tuesday.

The host Explorers lost to Brunswick 25-18, 25-15, 25-21 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.

With the loss, Hudson fell to 9-11 in 2018.

"Credit Brunswick as a solid team that weathered good runs of play from our side in each set," Explorers head coach Larry Meehan said. "We committed too many errors to maintain a consistent threat, which really proved to be our undoing."

Matt Gentry led Hudson with 14 kills. He also had a 2.6 passer rating over 30 attempts and was part of four blocks.

Shane Chilcott had six kills, a .350 hitting percentage and two blocks and Aidan L’Hommedieu had a 2.75 passer rating over 33 attempts and three digs.

Also contributing for the Explorers were Cray Donoughe (three blocks, two kills and two digs), Geoff Pollock (two kills) and Max Semenczuk (2.5 passer rating over 13 attempts and two digs).
