The Leap Stars Xcel Gymnastics teams competed at the Ohio state gymnastics meet and walked away from the meet with 16 championship titles and a total of 29 individual medals.
The Xcel Silver team finished seventh and 12 of the girls qualified for a regional meet, which took place April 27 to 29 in Westfield, Ind.
Two Hudson residents competed for the Xcel Silver team at the regional meet.
Ashlie Seitz placed first on the vault, eighth on the balance beam and was first in the all-around competition.
Kelsie Moore placed third on the beam and was eighth in the all-around competition.
Both Xcel Silver gymnasts practice at Little Leapers Inc., in Hudson.
Other members of the Leap Stars teams also fared well.
Brooke Van Meerveld, who won a state title, and her sister, Summer Van Meerveld, finished in the top 16 to compete on the state team representing Ohio at the regional competition.
The Leap Stars Bronze team also had a banner year. First-year team members won nine individual titles and 20 individual medals. The team also finished second in the state.
Other gymnasts who qualified for the regional competition were Abby Gordon (Xcel Gold) and Grace Nagy (Xcel Platinum).
Others Xcel Silver gymnasts who competed at the regional event are as follows.

* Bria Bucciarelli, fifth, floor
* Julia Hickin, first, beam; and 10th, all around
* Emily Galioto, third, beam and floor; and 11th, all around
* Maddie Byerly, 13th, floor
State team members Brooke Van Meerveld placed eighth on the vault and ninth all around and Summer Van Meerveld finished 14th on the vault. The state team finished third in its region.
Gordon placed third on the bars and 11th all around.
