The host Hudson girls lacrosse team improved to 4-0 after earning a convincing 15-5 victory over North Canton Hoover in a Play for Pink contest Saturday at Hudson Memorial Stadium.

Money was raised prior to and during the match for breast cancer awareness.

The Lady Explorers led 11-1 at halftime. Kendall Paltani had four goals and two assists and Elizabeth Hinkle scored three times and won nine draws to lead Hudson.

Tyler Vidmar had two goals and one assist and Piper Trattner scored twice for the Lady Explorers.

Paige Palumbo had one goal and one assist and Emily Dunne, Julia Stiles and Lily Edwards scored one goal apiece for Hudson.

Maggie Palumbo contributed one assist and goalies Kristin Potts, who played the first half, and Mackenzie Hornung, combined to make three saves between the pipes for the Lady Explorers.

Hudson had a 22-8 advantage in shots on goal and a 21-9 edge in ground ball. The Lady Explorers won 15 of 22 draws and had a 21-16 advantage in takeaways.
