The host Hudson baseball team dropped to 2-5 after losing to Brunswick 4-3 in nine innings Friday at The Ballpark at Hudson.

The Explorers had a 2-0 lead after five innings and were up 3-2 heading into the top of the seventh.

Hudson finished with just four hits and no errors. The Blue Devils had 10 hits and no errors.

Nolan O’Connell had a single, three stolen bases and a run scored and Matt Mileski had a single, a stolen base and a run scored for the Explorers.

Right-hander Marcel Ulrich, who entered the game in the ninth, took the loss on the mound.
