The Aurora baseball team suffered its first loss of the season Thursday.

The Greenmen suffered a convincing 8-1 defeat to Suburban League American Conference rival Highland in Granger Township.

The Hornets scored four runs in the fourth to take a 7-1 lead. Highland had 10 hits and three errors.

Aurora finished with five hits and two errors.

Right-hander Zach Elsawy took the loss on the mound. He allowed five earned runs in four innings of work.

Jacob Blue had a single and two runs scored for the Greenmen.
