The Western Reserve Academy girls basketball team improved to 3-4 on the season after posting a hard-fought 42-38 victory over Warren John F. Kennedy Tuesday evening on the road.

The Pioneers, who made just 7 of 16 foul shots, led 26-14 at halftime. But JFK outscored Reserve 19-6 in the third quarter to take a 33-32 lead.

However, WRA allowed just five points in the final eight minutes to prevail.

Jai DuVal led the Pioneers with 13 points and Jade DuVal added 12 points for Reserve.
