The host Hudson boys bowling team fell to 3-5 overall and 2-4 in the Suburban League after losing to Tallmadge 2,724-2,360 Wednesday at Sto-Kent Family Entertainment Center in Stow.
Parker Braccio led the Blue Devils with a 297 game. Four Tallmadge bowlers rolled 400-plus series.
Sam Karman led the Explorers with a 398 series (188 and 210). Also competing for Hudson were Dillon Muccino (222 and 165), Andrew Brechtelsbauer (194 and 168), Logan Loeffler (180 and 158) and Austin Fernando (148 and 188).
The Lady Explorers dropped to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in the league after losing 2,175-1,882.
Danielle Maurer led Hudson with scores of 169 and 173, respectively. Celia Manders was next with scores of 176 and 162 and Alyssa Germano rolled games of 140 and 137. Katie Titmas added a 156.
The Explorers suffered a 1,477-1,311 loss in the junior varsity match. Jay Boyden led Hudson with scores of 148 and 179.
The Lady Explorers JV team lost 1,218-1,210. Mikayla Cohen led Hudson with scores of 142 and 127.
The Hudson boys suffered a 2,526-2,511 loss to Suburban League rival Twinsburg Monday at Roseland Lanes in Oakwood Village.
The Tigers earned a 215-182 victory in the final Baker game. Twinsburg rolled five consecutive strikes from the fourth to eighth frames, respectively, to rally.
The Tigers also earned 225-211 and 197-192 wins in the other Baker games.
Brechtelsbauer led the Explorers, who had their best score of the season, with scores of 192 and 225. Karman was next with scores of 160 and 222.
Also bowling for Hudson were Fernando (199 and 180), Loeffler (189 and 188) and Dillon Muccino (181 and 190).
The Lady Explorers lost 2,126-1,813. Germano led the way with scores of 157 and 155 and Manders was a close second with games of 148 and 160.
Rounding out the scores for Hudson, which also had its best total of the season, were Maurer (105 and 160), Cohen (150 an 109) and Olivia Norton (119 and 126).
The JV boys posted a 1,623-1,506 win. Jack Hewis led the way with scores of 155 and 146.
The Lady Explorers JV squad cruised to a 1,546-1,150 victory. Ariana Ellis led Hudson with scores of 123 and 142.
The boys finished 10th with a score of 3,974 at the 14-team Falcon Classic Saturday at Legend Lanes in Cuyahoga Falls.
Tallmadge won the competition with a score of 4,417 and Stow-Munroe Falls (4,385) and Cuyahoga Falls (4,318) placed second and third, respectively.
Karman led the way with a 15th-place series of 630. He rolled games of 192, 211 and 227.
Muccino placed 19th with a 621 series (204, 203 and 214) and Brechtelsbauer finished 21st with a 619 series (213, 222 and 184).
Also bowling for the Explorers were Loeffler (178, 126 and 189) and Fernando (143, 188 and 155).
The girls finished 10th out of 10 teams with a score of 2,680.
Fairport Harding won the competition with a score of 3,671. Stow (3,652) and Crestwood (3,311) placed second and third, respectively.
Manders led the way with a 425 series (125, 156 and 144) and Germano rolled a 415 series (159, 121 and 135).
Also bowling three games for Hudson was Maurer (130, 125 and 142).
Both teams are scheduled to host league foe Wadsworth Wednesday at 4 p.m.
