The Tallmadge boys and girls bowling teams improved to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the Suburban League after posting victories over Copley Wednesday at Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn.

The boys earned a thrilling 2,729-2,614 win.

The Blue Devils had a slim lead after the Baker games.

Tallmadge lost the first Baker game 231-211 as the Indians started the game with five straight strikes.

But Tallmadge rebounded with 234-147 and 205-188 wins in the next two Baker games.

Joshua Parry led the Blue Devils with scores of 278 and 247, respectively, for a 525 series.

Parker Braccio was next for Tallmadge with scores of 201 and 233.

Also bowling for the Blue Devils were Patrick Stachowiak (185 and 207), Gabe Griffith (173 and 208) and Robert Wilson (192 and 149).

The Tallmadge girls had far less trouble.

The Lady Blue Devils cruised to a 2,309-1,513 victory.

Kirsten Moore led Tallmadge with scores of 235 and 194 for a 429 series and Emily Kiss was next with scores of 161 and 227.

Also bowling two games for the Lady Blue Devils were Hallie Turney (189 and 163) and Isabelle Hall (154 and 178).

The Tallmadge boys junior varsity team posted a 1,841-1,690 win.

Nick Drayer had the high game (214) and Cooper Randolph had the high series (361).

The Lady Blue Devils posted a convincing 933-465 victory.

Kristina Beckwith had the high game (125) and Sara Hawley had the high series (214).
