It was fun while it lasted.

The Aurora ice hockey team suffered its first loss of the season Thursday.

The Greenmen were defeated by Brooklyn 5-4 at the Brooklyn Recreation Center.

Tomi Pirinen and Cole Rausch scored second-period goals to give Aurora (5-1) a 2-1 lead.

But the Hurricanes rallied with three straight goals in the third period.

Jack Pfiffner scored twice for Aurora to tie the game at four.

However, Brooklyn got what turned out to be the game-winning goal late in the game.
