Nordonia seniors Carmen Licht, Faith Banks and Lizzy Gurko have combined to earn 13 All-Ohio places in during their high school track and field careers.
Now, the trio will take their talents to the NCAA Division I collegiate level.
Licht, Banks and Gurko each signed national letters of intent Wednesday to continue their academic and running careers. Banks and Licht will remain teammates at the college level, as both signed to run at the University of Cincinnati, while Gurko committed to run at the University of Akron.
Banks is a five-time All-Ohioan, having reached the podium twice in the 400-meter dash and three times in the 1,600-meter relay.
Licht has earned All-Ohio status five times with Nordonia relay teams and also qualified for states in 400- and 800-meter runs as an individual.
Gurko is a state qualifier in the 1,600-meter run and earned All-Ohio honors with one Knights in her freshman and junior years.
