The Hudson Chapter of Special Olympics competed in the team bowling state tournament Oct. 21 in Columbus.

Hudson was represented by two four-person teams.

The team of Ben Cartwright, Alex Cremer, Stephen Shedloski and David Spurlock placed first in its division and went home with gold medals.

The team of Amy Forde, Scott Lattimer, Heather Maurer and Miranda Smith placed second in their division and won silver medals.

The team is coached by Shawn Patterson of Hudson and its weekly practices take place at the Sto-Kent Family Entertainment center in Stow.

The 2017 team also included Alberta Dubelko, Connor Hayslip and Jenna Reyes.

The Hudson Chapter is open to anyone with an intellectual disability, who is at least 8 years old and lives within the Hudson City School District boundaries. Additional information about Hudson Special Olympics is available at www.hudsonspecialolympics.org.
