In the Little Helping Hands run recently, Auroran Mark Muroski placed second in men 60-64 in 33:12.5.

In the Pier W Copper River Salmon Run, Ava Hernandez placed third in women under 14 in 32:29.3 and Rebecca Hernandez placed fifth in women 35-39 in 32:29.8.

In the Parrothead Run, Ryan Malik placed fifth in men 20-24 in 26:05.4, Katelyn Yarmus placed eighth in women 25-29 in 25:17.1 and Rich Malik placed 15th in men 45-49 in 30:37.3.

More runs are coming up this weekend. On July 8 are the Escape on the Lake at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland and the Summerfest 5K at Fairview High School in Fairview Park.

On July 9 are the Pump & Run at Empowering Punch at Southpark Mall in Strongsville and Broadview Heights mayor's 5K at the recreation center in Broadview Heights. For details, visit www.hermecleveland.com.

The most recent standings for the Aurora Parks and Recreation coed spring softball league are as follows:

NPK / Dream Killers 18-2; Indians 15-3; Holy Crap 16-3-1; Lakeside Terrace / Camelot Village 15-5; Sneeky Pete 14-6; El Camino and T Jay's 10-10; Papous Tap & Grill / Blade 2 Blade 7-13; General Title Insurance 5-13; Misfits 4-13-1; Church in Aurora 3-17; and Kimberly Hruby 0-22.

Since the Kimberly Hruby team has withdrawn from play, its remaining games are forfeited and figured into its record and the records of its past and future opponents.

Standings after last week's men's Friday night league were unavailable because of the early holiday deadlines.
