In the boys' field at the Hudson Junior Invitational, the leaders are shooing low.

That sets up the potential for a big finish at The Country Club of Hudson.

Kyle Mitchell of Powell maintained his lead at the Junior June 28 by shooting a round of 71 (one under par). He sits at seven under par for the tournament.

This will be the second straight year Mitchell takes the lead into the final round at the Hudson Junior. Last year, he shot a round of 78 on the final day and finished tied for fourth.

Two strokes behind Mitchell is Hudson native Will Kurtz. Kurtz shot a two-under-par round of 70 in the second round. He sits at five under par for the tournament, as he looks to improve on last year's runner-up finish.

Chardon's Charlie Toman sits a stroke behind at four under par for the tournament. Toman had the lowest score in the second round, shooting a three-under-par 69.

Rounding out the top four is defending champion Jack Herceg of Dublin. Herceg shot a round of 71 for the second straight day, putting him in fourth place at two-under-par and five shots off the lead.

Due weather considerations, the final round of the Hudson Junior will beging with a shotgun start June 29 at 9 a.m.
