Hinckley native Madison Butler knows how to handle big tournaments, as she won the OHSAA's Division I girls individual golf title last October.

After day one at the Hudson Junior Invitational, Butler is in prime position to make another run at a title.

Bulter was the lone female to shoot an under-par round June 27 at The County Club of Hudson. She shot a round of 71 (one-under par) to take a three-stroke lead in the second round.

Behind Butler, the leaderboard is crowded, as four golfers finished the first round with a score of 72 (two over par).

Among those at two-over is recent Kent Roosevelt graduate Kory Neilsen, who finished fourth in last year's Junior. Also sitting at two-over are Jennifer Wang of Solon, Jessican Hahn of Canton and Olivia Zambruno of Mt. Pleasant, Penn.

Also, Hudson resident Jenn David shot a round of 78 (six over par) on day one.

Round two of the Hudson Junior Invitational will begin tomorrow at 6:20 a.m.
