Hudson graduate Dominic Polifrone, a sophomore on the Baldwin Wallace (Berea) University men's tennis team, recently was named to the 2017 Spring Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.
In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and maintain varsity status.
Polifrone, who earned his first Academic All-OAC honor, is a pre-physical therapy major that carries a 3.90 GPA.
He also is a Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda honor society. Polifrone was an All-OAC second-team selection, led the team with a record of 18-7 in singles' play and finished the year with a doubles' mark of 19-8.
The Yellow Jackets finished the year with a 17-4 overall record, a conference mark of 6-2 and advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinals for the second straight season.
