The host Hudson baseball team improved to 19-4 with a 6-4 victory over Suburban League American Conference crossover rival Tallmadge May 10 at The Ballpark at Hudson.
The Explorers scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 4-2 lead.
The Blue Devils tied the game in the top of the fifth, but Hudson scored twice in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead for good.
The Explorers finished with five hits and two errors. Tallmadge had five hits and two errors.
Left-hander Aiden Samuel (1-0) pitched three scoreless innings in relief to get the win.
Johnny Merrill had two hits, including a double, and two runs batted in and Spencer McClure and Seth Draper each had a single and two RBIs.
Bryce Kilfoyle had three stolen bases and two runs scored and Hayden Knox had a single, two steals and a run scored.
