The Western Reserve Academy boys lacrosse team has won its last five matches.

The Pioneers earned a 9-8 victory over Mount Lebanon April 29 on the road.

Brett Erskine led the way with four goals, one assist and seven ground balls and and Andrew Boniface had two goals.

Also scoring one goal apiece were Dakota Gibbons, who added a team-high seven ground balls, Joseph Jordan and Danny Croasdaile.

Ben Slotnik finished with two assists and Paul Schumacher won eight face-offs and scooped up four ground balls.

Reserve goalie Ben Kishore made 12 saves and scooped up six ground balls.

WRA (9-5) earned a 12-5 win over University April 27 in Hunting Valley.

Erskine had five goals and one assist and Boniface had four goals, two assists and four ground balls.

Zach Mandry and Evan Bongers each had one goal and one assist for the Pioneers and Jordan had one goal.

Slotnik added an assist and Schumacher won eight face-offs and scooped up six ground balls.

Kishore finished with 10 saves in the cage.

Reserve is scheduled to visit Shady Side Academy May 5 in Pittsburgh. Play is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
