The host Hudson boys tennis team improved to 10-4 on the season after posting a 5-0 victory over Canton Central Catholic April 26.
The Explorers did not drop a single set.
Harrshavasan Congivaram (6-0, 6-2), David Tullett (6-1, 6-0) and Rob Tobin (6-1, 6-0) rolled in singles' play and the teams of Nicci Polifrone and Sam Yurak (6-1, 6-1) and Spencer Rodgers and Kevin Si (6-0, 6-0) dominated doubles' play.
Host Hudson posted a 4-1 win over Bainbridge Township Kenston April 25.
Congivaram (7-5, 6-3) and Tullett (6-4, 4-6, 1-0) won at first and second singles, respectively.
The Explorers' doubles' teams of Polifrone and Yurak (6-1, 6-3) and Tobin and Rodgers (6-2, 6-2) also were victorious.
Hudson suffered its first conference loss of the season April 24.
The Explorers fell to 8-4 overall and 6-1 in the Suburban League National Conference after losing to Brecksville-Broadview Heights 3-2 on the road.
Hudson lost all three of its singles' matches.
The Explorers' first doubles' team of Yurak and Tobin posted a 6-4, 6-1 victory. Hudson's second doubles' team of Wendell Wu and Rodgers cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win.
The Explorers were scheduled to entertain Canton Central Catholic April 26 before heading to the Suburban League Tournament April 29 at Highland High School in Granger Township. Results of those matches were not available at press time.
Hudson is set to host Suburban League crossover foe Revere May 1 before heading to Highland for a Suburban League crossover showdown May 3. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
