Aurora Seniors meet weekdays in the Walker Building. Among activities are: Gentle yoga Fridays at 10 a.m., Arthritis Foundation exercise Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30 p.m., bingo Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., chair volleyball Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 1:45 p.m.

Also, there are watercolor painting Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., knitting Thursdays at 1 p.m. and penny poker, canasta and euchre Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m.; walking videos Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9 a.m., beginning Tai Chi on Thursdays at 9 a.m. and mahjong lessons Wednesdays at 1 p.m.

Some other activities are blood pressure and glucose screening clinics the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Tech Tuesdays are offered from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Walker Building, when students from Harmon School and AHS will help seniors perform various tasks with laptops, digital cameras, e-readers, tablets and phones.

The Retired Old Men Eating Out group will visit Station 43 in Bainbridge on April 20 and Mavis Winkle's in Twinsburg on May 18, while breakfast and bingo will be April 24 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Heartland of Twinsburg.Massage with Susan Lund will be May 8 and 22 and June 12 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Manicures and pedicures will be May 24 and June 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Podiatrist Dr. Lara Poduska also visits the center from time to time.

A Mothers Day luncheon will be May 10 at noon, happy hour at the Atrium at Anna Maria will be May 12 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and entertainment and lunch will be May 17 at noon at Legacy Place.

A painting party will be May 23 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., and a potluck luncheon for those with birthdays in April, May and June will be June 26 at noon. Lunch and music on the patio will be June 28 at noon and lunch and Bingo at the Avenue at Aurora will be June 30 at 11:30 a.m.

Trips coming up are: April 21 -- Severance Hall for "Don Quixote"; April 26 -- Palace Theater for "Something Rotten"; April 27 -- Packard Music Hall for "The Inspiration of Broadway";May 3 -- Fowlers Mill and Hastings Farm; May 4 -- Akron Art Museum; May 9 -- Hanna Theater for "Forever Plaid"; May 11 -- Western Reserve Historical Society.

May 15 -- lunch bunch to PF Chang's; May 16 -- Holden Arboretum; May 19 -- Cleveland Orchestra's "Miracle" at Severance Hall; May 22 -- Hartville Flea Market and Kitchen; May 25 -- Indians game vs. Cincinnati Reds; May 31 -- Middlefield shopping trip and lunch at an Amish home; June 5 -- President Garfield mansion in Mentor and Our Lady of Guadalupe; June 7 -- Akron Zoo.

The parks-rec department is in the Walker Building on West Pioneer Trail. Hours are weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
