The Nordonia softball team improved to 3-7 overall and 3-2 in the Suburban League National Conference after posting a 4-2 victory over Hudson April 17.
All four of the Lady Knights' runs were unearned because the Lady Explorers committed eight errors.
Right-hander Sara Gedeon took the hard-luck loss for Hudson. She struck out eight batters and walked three in seven innings of work.
Nordonia right-hander Rachel Cornett got the win. She pitched seven innings. She struck out five batters and walked two. She also hit a batter.
Cornett retired the first 11 Lady Explorers in order.
Center fielder Kendall Becker hit a one-out double and eventually scored on an error to make it 1-0 in favor of the Lady Knights (3-7, 3-2) in the top of the first.
Nordonia made it 2-0, thanks to a pair of walks and a throwing error in the fifth.

After a walk and an infield error, Hudson second baseman Kayla Tucciarelli, the ninth batter in the order, smashed a two-run double toward the fence in right field to tie the game.
Nordonia took advantage of a few more errors to score a run apiece in the sixth and seventh innings, respectively.
Becker drove in the final run of the game with a sacrifice fly.
